I hate to say this-

I've got a stalker/lurker person reading my blog and I cannot tell you how much this annoys me. It's the person who "accidentally" applied for a drivers' license using my address, after having having his mail forwarded from my address since he accidentally listed my address on his car title. Some of you may know the story. Con artist type with a history, claims everything was a mistake. yawn. Though I checked and he's no longer using my address-I assume since I made such a stink about it- I still find it annoying. The whole thing is creepy and disturbing to me. It also makes me feel like after all those years I defended the South as not being some place where all the backwoods indigents wind up, maybe I was wrong. It's enough to make me miss my crazy neighbor in LA. The one who thought I had a portal to another world inside my house. If you want to keep up with me, message me on facebook with a note. I may start another blog with a different name later on. I'm not sure what the solution is. Maybe I'll just lay low for awhile. Such a bummer for me because I liked blogging, but then again, maybe it's time to:
Ross Penhall's tat. http://clicks.robertgenn.com/silence.php

oh and here....not perfect, but better. I tried SGL's method of avoiding glare and there's a small problem of some areas being out of focus, but as a placeholder, these will do. Much better than those iphone shots though.
I'm calling them The New Transitionals. I've decided to fuck themes or any pretense of consistency this year.
(I'll edit in the titles later. They do have titles. I'm just tired.)

Goodlooking placeholder group. Are some of these new? Or did I just miss their posting in real time?

Thank you Eric. Nice to meet you here.

Carla, these are all the works on canvas I've done since being in the Nashville studio. Eight paintings. It feels like I've done more, but nope, just eight. The top one is the most recent, the bottom one was done as I was packing and moving last spring, but I didn't find it until recently, so it missed being in the Pools and Flowers show this fall, therefore, I'm counting it.

sorry about the stalker .

I luxuriate in these paintings, rich and satisfying they are........ portal to another world .. did they see your work ?

Yes. The lamp is exquisite.

I also like the newest one. When thinking words while looking at it I came across "Blech-ner" and giggled, although I thought of Ross, I can't pin it down anymore. . . and the blechiness was maybe in response to the borderline atmospheric beauty.

Tough call on the stalker. Maybe more postings of your target practice results?

Either way, I'd gladly follow you underground.

Well no wonder it felt like I had done more. I just found 4 in the studio I neglected to photograph, bringing my grand total to 12 since arriving here. All under 20" x 16". I think maybe I wanted to work more on the four before photographing them, even though I considered them done.

Re: lurker guy. To be fair, I think he's in another part of the state now, but in his last email to me, he mentioned enjoying reading my blog when my posts weren't about him and his questionable activity and history. I don't mind lurkers interested in art and life, but this is disturbing to me because of his background and since he knows my address. I could tell he trolled through comments and other pages.

Probably unrelated, I also received an email from some woman claiming her daughter was doing a report on me and she wanted some childhood info on me. (eye roll):

" Hi! I am writing this on a whim that you might actually read it tonight. My ten year old daughter has been given an assignment to do some research on your work, education and background. We were able to answer all questions in her paper except information about what you liked to do as a child. If you read this and have a moment to send us some brief information regarding you childhood, we would greatly appreciate it."

Re-write your past.
Hey. . . where did that comment go?

a ten year old daughter........ been given a project on your work ? ..............well. if thats the case ... pretty sophisticated 10 year olds in her school... wouldn't they start with something less challenging for such an age group...

Yeah, it sounds like someone trying to phish for passwords mined from childhood or something.

My 10-year daughter is especially interested in your childhood pets and their names, as well as your first school and favorite friend from childhood. This information will help greatly.

Teach a girl to phish and you feed her for a lifetime.

Too bad about the creepy guy and the 190 year old art report writer. Please keep me advised about future communiques. I don't need to know about what you liked to do in childhood, though, if I ever write a report on you I'll be in touch.

that should read 10 year old.

It's over.

Nov 7, 2020. Tears of joy and relief. It's been unreal and I'm ready to get back to a sense of normalcy. The desert has been tough.
