If you yell at them loud enough the painting will eventually paint itself, but only through pouty tears.
I don't know if it's the sudden shift in scale or the physicalness of my process, but I'll get to a place in the painting, and think, 'man, I'm tired, maybe I'll knock off now and come back tomorrow.' I needed a written reminder.

I did transport all my beloved Nova Color. It kills me to be so far away. You now I was less than 3 miles from them when I lived there. I'm getting ready to place a mongo order. If they had a bumper sticker that said, I heart Nova Color, I would slap it on my car right this minute.
Pouty tears. The painter's or the painting's? I'm pretty sure I could spare several thousand of my own. Ohhh, what a great idea! I'll get on that first thing tomorrow....
