More work done while living in Chicago before the anti-painting grad school lock-down. Anselm Kiefer meets Arte Povera meets Feminism with a capital "F." Had I not been mesmerized by the narcissism of video art, I might have enjoyed the challenge of seeing where this work would have taken me in the hardcore conceptual anti-painting climate of that department in 90's. Oh the irony.
(PS. I didn't really consider the bench to be "art," even though it wasn't functional enough to sit on. I just like making benches form scrap wood every decade or so.)

I love this! Keep em coming. I also posted non-art flashbackery today.
Sheesh. I almost missed the deadline for FBF.
Refresh my memory. How did you end up with Brock's cat?
I miss Chicago.
Not the sticky elevated train heat, however.
Brock & I were both working on a project as artists-in-residents at Little City Foundation. My cat, Onyx, had recently passed away. Brock was getting ready to leave the country and knew I missed having a kitty cat, and for some reason he couldn't take Fife.
I miss Chicago too. Not the minus 50 degree cold or the 28 days without sun, however. With a few exceptions, I've lost touch with almost everyone from that period of my life....
I like seeing these works and reading your commentary too. Great!
