Another image...
I tend to get enthusiastic about things. The other day I did a trail run. My first. It wasn't very long, (2.5 miles) but it was a bona fide trail, compete with packed mud, tree roots, rocks, and streams. I now want to train for a 9-mile trail run.

That purple was a new one for me. Not sure what it is about purple, but I've always considered it somewhat of of a ratty thrift store hue.

No such thing as ratty thrift store hues, Missy! Only ratty combinations, of which this is not. Obviously.
Wait...so you're saying all my other paintings are not great color?! That simply cannot be. Well, no, I suppose it could be. My foray into local color might have messed with my highly refined color insensibilities.
