I've been catching up on the outside world. Quite possibly, I'm way behind the curve but I highly recommend these.
An Object of Beauty by Steve Martin
Seven Days in the Art World by Sarah Thornton
Jean-Michel Basqiat: The Radiant Child by Tamra Davis
Exit Through the Gift Shop by Banksy

Thank you for the recs. I have listened to An Object of Beauty and enjoyed. I couldn't get through 7 Days, not sure why. It depressed me but that doesn't always stop me.
Right now I'm listening to "The Big Why" about Rockwell Kent. Read by Bob Joy who is excellent. Kent moved to Newfoundland in 1915 looking for a more authentic life. I am from Newfoundland and have heard his story. I'm finding it fascinating.
7 days in the art world is good...sort of a down to earth, "vogue"-like art industry review.
Another good one recently is the "the studio reader". It is a collection of interviews, essays, etc on studio practice.
